Sylvain Amoros has a Master in Sciences in eCommerce from HEC Montreal. After writing his thesis on “Customer Benefits Management: Web Performance Indicators”, under the direction of Michel Chokron, Ph.D. and previous Director of Research in Information Systems of HEC (GRESI), he worked as an account director and project leader in several web companies in Montreal. Throughout his career, he has delivered more than 100 web platforms of medium to large-scale size, such as eCommerce, promotional websites, intranets and extranets, statistical web applications. He managed a team varying from 2 to 25 people for the following customers: Bombardier, Bell Canada, Meloche Monnex, Desjardins, Hydro Quebec, Reitmans, NFB, Protectron, Lancôme, Biotherm, Tourism Montreal, Tourism Quebec and Protectron
His strong skills as an entrepreneur led him to launch his own company, Teksteel, in 2006. Sylvain specializes in analyzing web analytics, search engine optimization and link building. He taught a course in digital economy in the Master of eCommerce program at HEC Montreal, and has often received requests for his expertise in optimizing income models in eCommerce. After two years, Teksteel joined Cossette and Sylvain is now part of the Magnet management team.
Professional member of the Web Analytics Association (WAA) and a speaker at Intracom 2005 and 2007, he takes an active part in research and the conferences held in his field of expertise: performance management and search engine marketing.
